Palliative Care Australia invites artists of all backgrounds to participate in the 2025 National Art Prize, exploring the theme Conversations About End-of-Life. This competition celebrates the power of art to spark meaningful dialogue about care, ageing, and the human experience.

SUBMISSION PROCESS AND REQUIREMENTS

Entry Submission

• Entries must be submitted via this online portal (no other submission methods accepted).
• Artists must complete a separate Entry Form for each individual artwork.
• One piece of artwork can be submitted for consideration in multiple categories (this counts as only one submission).
• Incomplete entries or those not meeting the criteria will not be eligible for judging.
• Nominations Close: Wednesday 31 July 2025
• Finalists Notified – August 2025
• Winners Announced: At the Art Prize 2025 Cocktail Party in Brisbane at the Awards Gala Dinner – Tuesday 9 September 2025

Image Specifications

• All entry images must be high resolution (300dpi) digital files in .jpg format.
• Each artwork must have ONE high-resolution image submitted.
• The image must be suitable for printing at A4 size.

Entry Fees

• $55.00 inc GST per entry for general submissions.
• $16.50 inc GST per entry for school student category.
• Entry fees are non-refundable.

• Note: if you are submitting one entry for consideration in multiple categories, this counts as one entry and therefore only one entry fee is required. You do not need to pay multiple entry fees for one artwork that has been submitted in more than one category.

Multiple Entries

• Artists may submit more than one artwork (each requires a separate submission form and submission fee).
• Note: you do not need to make multiple submissions for one piece of artwork to be considered in multiple categories. Please just select the different categories that you'd like your single piece to be considered for and pay for a single submission using the payment forms here.
